It all began, about 8 years ago, with a focus on teak root furniture, a style that encapsulated the company's passion for blending nature's art with functionality. As time passed, Artistic Teak grew and developed, enabling the creation of new products that have expanded their reach into new and emerging markets, such as world class hand carvings, petrified wood, indoor/outdoor, and our patent pending Reach & Ready® series.

Artistic Teak's visionary founder and CEO, Owen Walton, an artist and designer with an unwavering passion for teak root furniture, laid the foundation for the company, a wholesale enterprise. With a clear vision for the possibilities that teak furniture offered, the company has evolved into what it is today, a powerhouse of unique and exquisite handcrafted furniture. Owen often says "God makes the beautiful teak wood, I just make something out of it". As the market shifts, Artistic Teak rises to the challenge, continually striving to meet new opportunities with innovative products.

Venture into our 35,000 square foot warehouse, located in Camp Hill, Alabama, only 15 miles from the renowned Auburn University. This is where the magic begins. Our talented team of designers and artisans work tirelessly to design each product, which is then produced in Indonesia, with utmost care and attention to detail. The hands that produce and bring these creations to life are those of some of the world's most accomplished artisans, the Indonesian people. Many of our teak root items are crafted from the remnants of harvested teak trees, some aged between 200 to 300 years. The most captivating wood grains and figures emerge from the roots and stumps, showcasing unique natural textures. Embracing the inherent nature of wood, our pieces feature checks, cracks, holes, knots, diverse colorations, and natural imperfections. These distinctive traits and weathered textures contribute to the allure of our products, transforming them into genuine, one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

For the original purchaser, we offer a warranty extending one year from the date of purchase. One crucial distinction between indoor and outdoor teak furniture care lies in the impact of direct sunlight's UV rays. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause the wood's surface to fade. Similar to teak boat owners, annual maintenance is recommended. This routine typically involves cleaning, light sanding, and reapplication of teak oil, restoring the furniture's beautiful honey-colored appearance. For furniture placed under a covered area, away from direct sunlight, maintaining its allure often requires occasional application of a few drops of teak oil whenever it appears lackluster.
